    Securities Settlements Analyst

    Position Overview

    Seeking a detail-oriented Securities Settlements Analyst to support settlement activities within Global Banking & Markets Operations. This role will manage securities transactions across the Americas, support the trade lifecycle, mitigate operational risk, and ensure accurate and timely settlement of client transactions.

    The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and client service skills with an interest in financial markets and securities operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the settlement of securities transactions across multiple asset types.
    • Monitor transactions and transfers from initiation through final settlement.
    • Ensure trade and transaction details are accurately captured and processed.
    • Partner with Trading, Middle Office, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and external counterparties.
    • Research and resolve settlement discrepancies, exceptions, and transaction issues.
    • Support electronic and physical asset transfers, client trades, distributions, and portfolio restructuring activities.
    • Identify process and control gaps and recommend improvements to reduce operational risk.
    • Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
    • Maintain high standards of accuracy, execution, risk management, and client service.
    • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, controls, and operational efficiency.

    Provide temporary onsite controls systems support to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of refinery DCS, SIS, and PLC systems, with primary focus on Siemens S7 PLC platforms and the H2 unit.

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience with Siemens S7 PLC systems

    Responsibilities

    The primary responsibility of the ACAT team is to provide effective transaction processing and exceptional client service that both guards the firm s capital and reputation and creates measureable value for the firm and its clients.  The new ACAT Analyst will be required to handle multiple functions including reconciliation of automated account transfer receives, delivers, residuals, mutual funds, foreign and domestic settlements.  The Analyst will be expected to manage relationships with PWM Sales teams, counterparties and vendors. They will need to meet required deadlines and comply with industry rules.  The Analyst will be expected to escalate any issues and minimize firm exposure to financial, reputational, and regulatory risk. The Analyst s day-to-day responsibilities include facilitating transfer requests which moves assets into and out of the firm. They will perform account verification and asset review to ensure transfers are compliant with firm and industry policies. They will also be assigned projects that require data analysis to depict trends and streamline processes.

    Job Duties:

    • Analyst will initiate transfer requests from client signed ACAT instruction to bring assets into the firm. This will require attention to detail with the understanding of industry and system requirements. 
    • Perform reconciliation of incoming wires by reviewing the external instructions and notifying PWM Sales team to input matching instructions. 
    • Facilitate account transfer delivery through a completing series of steps to notify internal teams, receive proper approvals, and account termination. 
    • Project work that requires data analysis to identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual touchpoints 

    Position Description

    • Position-level reconciliation of all account requested form counter parties/clients
    • Oversight of residual positions following ACAT transfers
    • Pre-population of ACAT transfer forms

    Job/Role Description:

    • This role provides Database Administration Support and production support for Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, Sybase IQ, UDB DB2, Sybase Replication, Postgres, Hadoop, MSSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle database infrastructure on a global scale.
    • This position performs daily monitoring of database infrastructure and alerts while scheduling and managing maintenance jobs using Autosys.
    • Continually evaluate the operations of the environment and assist in the optimization and delivery of server infrastructure.
    • Perform root cause analysis on system failures and incidents and provide remediation solutions.
    • Communicate and coordinate with application support and other IT support teams to deliver timely responses for critical requests.
    • Responsible for provisioning activities and user requests; participate in Business Continuity plan tests across all regions related to database infrastructure.
    • Adhere to company change management requirements and procedures; create and maintain policies and procedures for regular operational activities.
    • Manage small project initiatives within the Database team across large portions of the enterprise, including datacenter migrations and end-of-life database software and hardware initiatives.
    • This is an onsite role in Salt Lake City, UT that requires working weekends.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of five years of experience in database administration or a related Database Administration role.
    • Five years of experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5/6/7/8.
    • Strong experience in database administration, maintenance, implementation, migration, and upgrades in complex system environments.
    • Extensive experience with Sybase ASE, IQ, and Replication (v16.x, v15.x, v12.x) database administration on Linux platforms.
    • Strong knowledge of UDB/DB2, including HADR, database design, development, and maintenance.
    • Strong working knowledge of DBA tasks with solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • IT experience with a solid understanding of banking domains and processes.
