    Job Title: Boiler Engineer

    Location: Gibsonton, FL
    Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus
    Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

    Position Summary:

    The HRSG/HEP Engineer leads the development and continuous improvement of maintenance and monitoring strategies for Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and High Energy Piping (HEP) across the fleet. This mid-to-senior level role applies risk-based assessment, reliability engineering principles, and project management expertise to drive system reliability and performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute risk-based reliability strategies for HRSG and HEP systems

    • Implement predictive monitoring plans to replace time-based maintenance

    • Prioritize and recommend capital improvements, inspections, and outage work

    • Lead engineering projects and provide technical oversight for plant initiatives

    • Support outage and project planning including specs, scheduling, and cost estimates

    • Conduct root cause analyses and manage reliability metrics

    Required Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET accredited)

    • Experience: 6+ years in mechanical system design, implementation, or maintenance

    • Knowledge:

      • Strong expertise in HRSGs and HEP systems

      • NDE methods (e.g., VT, PT, PAUT, MT)

      • Welding principles and failure mechanisms

      • Power plant operations

    • Leadership: Ability to lead project teams and resolve technical issues

    • Certifications: None required; PE in Florida preferred

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s in Engineering or Engineering Management

    • 5+ years in heavy industrial or power plant environments

    • Supervisory or mentoring experience

    • Reliability-centered maintenance knowledge

    • Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must be able to climb, bend, and work in noisy, dusty environments

    • Willing to work irregular hours or holidays if needed

    • Must use PPE and follow safety protocols in a power plant setting
