    Position Overview
    We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Automation Engineer to support enterprise transformation initiatives within the Enterprise and Data Platforms organization. This role will focus on modernizing legacy processes by transitioning manual workflows into automated solutions, with a strong emphasis on Hogan systems, batch processing, and data masking/scrubbing.

    The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Hogan mainframe environments, strong batch automation expertise, and the ability to independently troubleshoot and optimize enterprise-scale processes.


    Key Responsibilities

    Automation & Transformation

    • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and implement scalable automation solutions
    • Support modernization efforts by enhancing legacy systems with automated workflows
    • Promote an automation-first mindset across teams

    Mainframe Development & Batch Processing

    • Develop, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and SQL
    • Design and implement batch job automation using CA7 scheduler
    • Create and manage JCL for batch processing and job orchestration

    Hogan System Support

    • Work extensively within Hogan environments, including:
      • Hogan CIS
      • Hogan Umbrella
      • Hogan Deposits
    • Support data masking/scrubbing processes and batch automation within Hogan systems

    Troubleshooting & Production Support

    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and production incidents independently
    • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions

    Collaboration & SDLC Execution

    • Translate business and user requirements into technical design specifications
    • Collaborate with analysts, testers, and operations teams throughout the full SDLC
    • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions in an enterprise environment

    Required Qualifications

    • Strong hands-on experience with Hogan mainframe systems (CIS, Umbrella, Deposits)
    • Proven experience with CA7 scheduler job automation
    • Proficiency in:
      • COBOL
      • JCL
      • REXX
      • SORT utilities
      • SQL
    • Experience with DB2 and IMS databases
    • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to debug independently
    • Experience working in large, enterprise-level environments
    • Solid understanding of batch processing and automation frameworks
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with data masking / data scrubbing processes
    • Exposure to project management or IT PM concepts
    • Experience working on transformation or modernization initiatives
    • Ability to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement

    Job Description

    The Project Procurement Specialist ensures the efficient coordination and execution of procurement activities for assigned projects within the capital project portfolio. This role is responsible for engaging with project teams to organize, support, audit, and oversee the development, monitoring, and reporting of procurement plans for materials and services, ensuring alignment with project execution expectations.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams to strengthen partnerships, enhance service levels, and drive coordinated Supply Chain performance metrics related to planning and execution.
    • Manage interactions between the Project Requisition Team and other Supply Chain Sourcing resources supporting project delivery.
    • Provide guidance to project teams on the enforcement of standards, policies, and procedures established by Client and applicable regulatory entities.
    • Coordinate with the Project Requisition Team and Supply Chain Procurement Teams on all project-related material and service requirements.
    • Represent Supply Chain in project meetings and phase/stage gate reviews related to procurement activities.
    • Lead Supply Chain involvement in escalation, resolution, and development of corrective actions or recovery plans for project material issues, including delivery impacts and mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with project managers to develop procurement matrices and plans, including material supply plans, contracting strategies, logistics plans, and expediting plans.
    • Develop and manage the Master Project Material List (BOM) for assigned projects, including estimated and actual pricing, PO/MR numbers, and expected delivery dates.
    • Support Project Engineers, Project Managers, and contractors to ensure goods and services are procured in accordance with the documented Project Execution Plan.
    • Monitor and report on all procurement planning requirements, including initial procurement plan development, material and service requisition tracking, identification of shortages, and expediting activities.
    • Manage and communicate quality, cost, and schedule impacts identified through Supply Chain activities, including development of mitigation plans to support project risk management.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Digital disciplines, or a related field from an accredited university.
    • MBA, other related graduate degree, or Doctorate preferred.
    • Four or more years of directly relevant experience in scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, and working with accounting practices is required.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Understanding of procurement/strategic sourcing, project controls, accounts payable, work management, and financial systems applications is preferred.
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills desired.

    This position is for our client that is a growing specialty insurance broker and captive insurance company manager. This full-time employee will be responsible for working with the latest technologies and building innovative products for our resident liability clients. This candidate will work with Ruby on Rails for back-end development and has a strong understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL.

    Essential Functions & Duties:

    • Work in a small team environment in full life cycle software development to architect, build, and maintain Ruby on Rails and React code
    • Assist with the management of applications to ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, prototype, and implement new applications features and functionality
