Associate Network Engineer with Data Integrity

An entry-level data engineer typically has a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with 2-3 years’ experience in Cisco router & switch technology.

Work on data engineering projects under the guidance of more experienced data engineers.

Procure hardware necessary to complete assigned project.

Configure and deploy routers and switches using provisioning templates.

Maintain data integrity in data network management tools like SolarWinds and ISE.

Provision and deploy Cisco wireless hardware.

Configure out of band terminal servers.

Review the accuracy of drawings with as built network.

Audit third party WAN circuits to determine opportunities for cost savings.

They may work on more complex projects and have more responsibility for designing and implementing data solutions.

Prepare engineering job packages consisting of BOM equipment lists, network diagrams installation instructions.

Able to troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to network changes.
Responsible for implementing intermediate level changes, commissioning routers at substations and operation centers.

Experience with Cisco Telephony technologies, primarily Cisco Call Manager DID provisioning

Developed expertise in in one or more programming languages.
