    Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Work Management Specialist for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Detroit, MI!

    Title: Work Management Specialist
    Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid/onsite 3 days per week)
    Duration: 12+ Months W2

    Job Summary:

    Work Management Specialist Plans and prepares work orders for multi-week schedule for all groups involved in equipment outages, corrective and preventive maintenance, capital and operating/maintenance modifications. Works with internal resources, vendors, and contractors to develop and execute work packages maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. Utilizes the following systems to create and track optimal sequencing of work orders and work completion: Maximo, SAP, Documentum, EBS, scheduling software, and Office 365.

    • Requires strong coordination and planning, scheduling, and estimating skills to ensure maintenance is performed in a timely and efficient manner with verifiable metrics.
    • Identifies root causes of problems and establishes work scope for daily and project work
    • Develops accurate time and resource estimates that require appropriate levels of productivity
    • Develops accurate job plans that provide step by step process to complete work scope efficiently
    • Validates resource and job plan estimates against actuals to improve Maximo data
    • Creates or supports accurate, complete multi-week schedules, including milestone dates for major projects
    • Builds complete packages, including safety notices, which are validated through walk-downs
    • Manages backlog consolidation requests
    • Completes required purchasing and procurement tasks as necessary
    • Develops and maintains and supports the management of preventive maintenance work
    • Recommends the most effective use of both internal and external resources including the use of data analytics
    • Utilizes the appropriate tools to create, plan and execute the work, including Maximo, Documentum, scheduling software, and Office 365
    • Creates and maintains effective daily interactions with engineering, project management, various levels of job supervisors, specialty vendors and contractors
    • Provides oversight of employees and contractors as needed

    Preferred Experience:

    • Prior supervisory experience in a maintenance environment
    • Experience working with and developing work scope schedule
    • Knowledge of LOTO and or PPO77 hazardous energy control, and the tie to work management
    • Instrument and calibration knowledge or experience

    Other Requirements:

    • Strong organizational skills
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to interpret P&ID’s, blueprints, drawings, schematics, measuring devices, and rigging and lifting equipment
    • Estimating skills predicated on reasonable, critical and documented assumptions and reflect appropriate productivity from crew
    • Ability to coordinate information from various sources and interface with multiple customers to complete tasks
    • Problem solving skills utilizing a formal methodology

    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for providing world-class quality technical support while maintaining an extraordinarily high level of customer service for the entire health system. Support for these devices and technologies include but not limited to desktops and laptops, virtual machines, tablets, desk phones, mobile phones, printers, wired and wireless networks, VPNs, webcams, dictation hardware, and technically integrated medical devices such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and anesthesia machines.

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide technical support to customers for technologies that may include desktops and laptops, virtual machines, tablets, desk phones, mobile phones, printers, wired and wireless networks, VPNs, web cams, dictation hardware, usage of said technology in and outside of client locations, technically integrated medical devices such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and anesthesia machines, and a variety of software.
    • Safeguard the security of the organization by following established procedures to prevent unauthorized access to System resources
    • Provide in-depth troubleshooting, research, diagnoses, resolution, and escalation of semi-complex technical issues or requests
    • Provide guidance and support to Service Desk Associates and new Representatives and communicate with departmental leadership as needed to ensure service excellence is achieved.
    • May be requested to test new technologies and support structures to help with later integration across the rest of the team
    • Assist with the identification and handling of emerging issues by noticing and responding to trends in Service Desk collaboration tools, communicating with other teams, and leveraging obtained information
    • Seek information through standard channels as well as in non-traditional avenues if unavailable through standard channels
    • Contribute to the growth and maintenance of our knowledgebase
    • Identifies and appropriately escalates system hardware, software or build issues for quality assurance and system stability.
    • Clearly communicate via every channel (written or verbal, and with end users or others) and ensure all communications are accurate, professional, and appropriate for the target audience
    • Demonstrate excellence in troubleshooting, knowledge, communication, and quality, and help others by answering questions

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required as well as some college, or 1-2 years of vocational technical training, or an Information Technology/Support industry certification.
    • Three or more years of successful experience in Service Desk or Help Desk.

    PREFERRED:

    • Five years or more experience working in a 24/7/365 health care environment help desk, service desk, or IT support position using phone, email, remote assist, and chat to provide direct end-user support preferred.

    Engagement Description:

    Responsible for the design and construction and/or commissioning of intermediate to large-size capital renewable projects. May be asked to train and mentor more associate project managers. Uses formal project management methods to coordinate project team activities including defining the scope of work, scheduling, estimating and engineering. Manage costs and change control procedures and ensure project close-out and documentation processes are complete. Types of projects include solar, wind, and energy storage, with hands-on construction assignments in collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Develops renewable energy project scope and coordinates a team of specialists who provide project schedule, cost estimates and engineering specifications for capital projects.
    • Ensures the completion of engineering, design, installation, testing, commissioning into service and project closeout.
    • Responsible for renewable project expenditures and the cost-effective procurement of labor, equipment and materials: coordinates with authorized company representatives in conducting bid meetings and reviews, supplier selections and evaluations; determines contracting strategy congruent with labor utilization strategies.
    • Supports daily management of on-site construction activities, working with contractors and service providers, including timely completion of work within approved budget.
    • Responsible for meeting key performance metrics including scope, schedule, and budget for projects and/or programs.
    • Communicate as the main point of contact to provide updates on project statuses to all stakeholders and engage appropriate stakeholders in decisions to ensure a clear understanding of direction and expectations.
    • Serve as the main liaison with internal organizations, plants, suppliers, trade labor organizations (unions), etc. May support contract administration services for blanket orders or other subcontractors and vendors.
    • Evaluates conditions and consults on solutions to control project risk.
    • Ensures compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
