     Role Overview

    Will independently execute quality control testing projects of simple to medium complexity within the mortgage domain. This role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing pre-recorded calls from loan originators, processors, and closers to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.

    The ideal candidate will bring hands-on mortgage experience, strong analytical skills, and working knowledge of key regulations such as Reg Z, ECOA/Regulation B, UDAAP, and GLBA.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive quality control testing on loan origination and processing calls, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and internal compliance standards.
    • Listen to 15–20 pre-recorded calls daily, evaluating accuracy, compliance, and adherence to required scripts and procedures.
    • Utilize call recording platforms, compliance checklists, and regulatory tools to score and document call performance.
    • Create and execute test cases and user stories for mortgage-related testing projects, based on business and end-user requirements.
    • Identify, document, and track defects or noncompliance issues, ensuring resolution within defined timeframes.
    • Collaborate with software development and compliance teams to troubleshoot and remediate issues in both test and production environments.
    • Generate and maintain test metrics and reporting, summarizing key findings for Test Leads and senior stakeholders.
    • Support continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to call quality, compliance monitoring, and overall testing efficiency.

    Top 3 Required Skills/Experience

    1. Mortgage Industry Experience (2+ years): Proven background in mortgage underwriting, loan origination, processing, or similar functions (loan officer, mortgage broker, or secondary marketing experience).
    2. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Reg Z, ECOA/Regulation B, UDAAP, and GLBA compliance requirements.
    3. Call Monitoring Expertise: Experience reviewing or auditing recorded calls for mortgage banking or compliance purposes.
