Software Engineer 3

Location: West Des Moines, IA (On-Site)
Worksite: 800 S Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA
Contract Duration: 12 months (03/06/2026 – 03/05/2027)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer 3 to support technology and data initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment. In this contingent assignment, the engineer will contribute to moderately complex software engineering initiatives, participate in solution design and implementation, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong .NET development expertise, modern front-end frameworks, SQL/database experience, and exposure to application performance monitoring and Agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in and consult on moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables

• Contribute to large-scale planning and execution of software engineering solutions

• Analyze and resolve moderately complex technical challenges requiring evaluation of multiple variables

• Develop, implement, test, and maintain applications using modern engineering practices

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business partners to meet delivery objectives

• Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, compliance requirements, and best practices

• Support production systems and participate in troubleshooting and performance optimization as needed

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience (or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education)

• 4+ years of .NET development experience

• 3+ years of front-end development using React, Angular, and/or JavaScript

• 3+ years of SQL and database development experience

• 3+ years of experience working in Agile development environments

• 2+ years of experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as AppDynamics or Dynatrace

Desired Qualifications

• 2+ years of development experience in a Kubernetes environment

• 2+ years of Python programming experience

• 2+ years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience

• Production support experience in enterprise environments

• Exposure to or experience with Generative AI tools or development is a plus
