About the Role:
Strategic Staffing Solutions has an immediate need for a hands-on Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who thrives in the code and takes true ownership of what they build. This is a role for a doer, not a coordinator—someone who leads by example, contributes directly to implementation, and is passionate about delivering high-quality software.
You’ll work across the full stack, building modern, scalable applications while collaborating closely with other engineers, product partners, and stakeholders. Curiosity, initiative, and a genuine passion for technology—both inside and outside of work—are essential.
Our team actively uses AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot, and we value engineers who are open to embracing these tools to improve productivity, code quality, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using modern backend and frontend technologies
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack
- Create and execute unit and automated tests to ensure reliability and quality
- Contribute to system design discussions and help guide technical decisions
- Lead by example through strong coding practices, ownership, and delivery focus
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve outcomes
- Continuously learn, experiment, and bring new ideas to improve the team and the product
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, consulting, training, military service, or education
- Strong experience with full-stack development
- Ability to take ownership of features from design through delivery
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Required Skills & Experience
- Spring Framework, including Spring Boot (building JSON REST APIs)
- ReactJS with TypeScript
- MongoDB
- Apache Kafka
- Unit testing experience (e.g., JUnit with Mockito, Jest)
- Automated testing experience (e.g., Rest Assured, Selenium, or Playwright)
- Familiarity with cloud technologies
- Experience with GitHub hooks and automation
- Experience or interest in AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot
- Strong delivery mindset with the ability to lead while contributing directly to code
- Passion for technology, including learning and experimentation outside of work
