Job Title: Integration & Middleware Engineer (IBM ACE, Java, SQL)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to support integration, deployment, and development initiatives within our technology domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, SQL, and XML/XSD, and experience working with integration tools such as IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE). You’ll play a key role in identifying service improvements, participating in deployments, and delivering technical solutions that support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Participate in low to moderately complex projects, including installations, upgrades, and deployments.

Analyze and resolve issues, or escalate as necessary to meet service level agreements.

Design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions in alignment with technical and compliance requirements.

Evaluate technical assignments or challenges and select suitable solutions for low to medium risk deliverables.

Identify and suggest improvements in service quality and system availability.

Collaborate with technology teams, internal partners, and stakeholders to communicate technical insights and project status.

Contribute to a secure and compliant software environment.
Required Qualifications:
-
4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent (training, military, or education)

4+ years of experience with Java, SQL, and Eclipse IDE

2+ years of experience with XML/XSD, including schema creation

2+ years of experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration
Desired Qualifications:
-
Experience implementing message flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)

Working knowledge of IBM ACE MQ, Compute, Collector, and Kafka nodes

Proficiency with ESQL (Extended Structured Query Language)

Familiarity with IR360 or other queue browsing tools

Basic understanding of mainframe technologies including JCL, DB2, and COBOL/JSON formatted messages

Experience with ServiceNow, Agile methodology, and basic testing frameworks
