Financial Analyst
Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Job Summary:
Performs business financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial analysis, and supports regulatory filings.
Accountabilities:
- Analyze cost data to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities to improve financial performance
- Reports and analyzes business performance including producing variance reports. Compare actual results to budget/forecast/historical actuals.
- Provide recommendations and feedback to business partners on financial performance
- Use continuous improvement to improve processes
- Ad hoc reports and dashboards
- Other reporting or analytical duties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Ability to communicate and present information (written/oral)
- Develop, revise and maintain Excel spreadsheets, word documents, PowerPoints
- Analytical, Critical Thinking, Time/Work management
- Ability to foster business relationships
- Understanding of Accounting Operations
- Knowledge of Budgets/Forecasts
Preferred but not required:
- Basic understanding of PowerBI
- Experience using SAP and SAP Business Warehouse
