Data Management Analyst 3 (Business Strategy & Governance)

Location: Charlotte, NC | Dallas/Irving, TX | Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Overview

We are seeking a Data Management Analyst to support enterprise-wide data strategy, governance, and transformation initiatives within a large, highly regulated organization. This role sits within a Chief Data Office (CDO) environment and focuses on customer data strategy, business case development, data management consulting, and executive stakeholder engagement.

This is a business-focused data management role rather than a technical data engineering position. The ideal candidate combines strong data governance expertise with strategic consulting skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development of enterprise customer data and data management strategies
• Analyze current-state data management practices and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and funding proposals for large-scale initiatives
• Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and governance teams to drive transformation efforts
• Assess data management risks, controls, policies, and governance frameworks
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, strategy sessions, and executive presentations
• Translate complex data concepts into clear, business-focused recommendations
• Drive data simplification, standardization, and governance initiatives across multiple business units
• Build relationships across highly matrixed organizations to influence strategic outcomes
• Produce executive-ready presentations, reports, and decision-support materials
• Monitor initiative progress, milestones, risks, and measurable business outcomes
• Support customer data, analytics, and governance programs through research and analysis

Required Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management, or Management Consulting
• Strong understanding of:
