Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Analyst III with deep expertise in Power BI, SQL, AWS Redshift, and Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) to join the Customer Experience & Operations Analytics Team at Duke Energy. This role involves building, optimizing, and maintaining impactful dashboards and visualizations that drive decision-making and strategic initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards with strong focus on user experience and effective storytelling.

Translate complex data sets into actionable insights using SQL, DAX, and data modeling best practices.

Support reporting rebuilds related to the launch of cloud-based platforms (e.g., Genesys / Elevate 360).

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored reporting solutions.

Use Power Apps and Power Automate to enhance reporting and workflow automation.

Ensure data integrity through exploration, validation, and correction processes.

Develop KPIs and visual features including heat maps, drill-throughs, slicers, and scatterplots.

Serve as a lead analyst for special analytics projects and initiatives.

Champion trust and adoption by maintaining high accuracy and transparency in reporting.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

6+ years of professional experience in data analysis, BI development, or a similar role.

4+ years of experience with Power BI, including advanced DAX, data modeling, and visualization.

Proficient in SQL and comfortable with AWS Redshift and A3S environments.

Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Excel, PowerPoint.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience integrating Power BI with other systems or APIs.

Background in statistics, predictive modeling, or programming (Python preferred).

Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data architecture.

Experience supporting customer experience or operations analytics.

Ability to present data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
