Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Windows Patch Admin for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Detroit, MI!
Title: Windows Patch Admin
Location: Detroit, MI (on-site)
Duration: 12+ Months
Role Type: W2 contract engagement
ROLE SUMMARY
- Deploy approved operating system & third-party software updates (patches) to meet requirements, regulatory compliance objectives, and covered business partners following established SWI processes
- Install Microsoft patches on Windows Server and Windows OS operating systems
- Install vendor specific patches as required to maintain security
- Perform patch assessments which entail verifying whether Microsoft and non-Microsoft software patches are applicable and compliant to software on Windows servers. Communicate with software vendors as necessary
- Hand off troubleshooting and problem resolution for patching-related issues to engineering resources responsible for the affected systems.
- Evaluate systems for compliance against baseline patch revisions using established SWI processes and software tools
- Update NERC-CIP patching documents as required
- Perform monthly baseline updates resulting from the monthly patch cycle
- Maintain & update patch source documentation as assets are added / removed
- Installation of new agent software (Tripwire, QRadar, etc.) on systems as required, with associated updates to patch source and baselines documentation, per established SWI
- Perform vulnerability scans, including creation and completion of mitigation plans, per established SWI
