Job Title: Solar Tech

Location: Tampa, FL

Pay Rate: $37/hour on W2

Shift: 8 Hr. X 5 Days (There will be overtime at 1.5)

This is a Direct Hire Opportunity with our company that MUST be worked on a W2 ONLY, NO C2C eligibility for this position.

Job Description / Duties:

The Solar Technician II position is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining all utility scale solar plant systems.
In addition, the Solar Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting and operational support with regard to all utility scale solar plant related problems.
This position is also responsible for maintenance of the utility scale solar plant inverters, tracking systems and arrays.
Maintenance and modification of utility scale solar plant Inverters.
Maintenance and modification of utility scale solar plant tracking systems.
Maintenance and modification of utility scale solar plant arrays including modules.
Responsible for all plant process instrumentation.
Responsible for maintenance of plant RTU interfaces.
Support capital projects from a solar technician role.

Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant experience.
Must have a working knowledge of utility scale Solar Photovoltaic Electric Power Generation.
Working knowledge with utility scale Inverters, Tracking Systems and Solar Arrays.
Working knowledge of utility scale solar plant development & maintenance skills.
Working knowledge with Distributed Controls Systems.
Requires hands on working experience with voltmeters, Digital multimeters (DMM) and clamp on meters.
Must bring experience working with energized equipment, not only construction or building of solar field.

High School Diploma or equivalent- this is 100% required and will require proof.

Working Conditions:

Work hours may exceed 40 hours per week where work is executed indoors, outdoors, and around hot equipment.
Work may be required on the weekend and requires employees to remain on call.

This position is covered by the union and in lieu of pension program the union negotiated a better 401K than other employees:
- 401K starts at 6% match, then after 5 years is a 12% match, and continues increasing up to 21%.

$1200 allowance fire retardant clothing, $450 every year following, $ 100 annual boot allowance, and all PPE and tools will be covered.
