Title: Software Engineer (DevOps)
Location: Charlotte, NC / Raleigh, NC / San Francisco, CA / Phoenix, AZ, Summit, NJ / Dallas, TX (Hybrid Schedule; 2 day on-site per week)
Duration: 12 Months (W-2 only, potential C2H)
Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java and Groovy to join the team responsible for engineering the enterprise build and release pipeline, specifically the Enterprise Pipeline (EPL) that can be deployed to a managed Kubernetes public cloud environment. You will be required to write code that enables the automation of processes via CI/CD. This includes end to end development using Java, Groovy, REST Assured and Karate.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Software Engineering experience
- 3+ years of Java experience
- 3+ years of Groovy experience
- 2+ years of experience with automation using shell scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- 3+ years of experience on build tools – Maven, Gradle, MSBuild
- Has working experience on SDLC- commit code to production deploy in cloud/containerized environments
- Working knowledge on how to programmatically create and consume REST APis for the CICD Toolchain – example, invoking Github, Artifactory, ServiceNow, Jenkins, Harness APIs
- Agile experience
- Experience with developing and deploying to one or more Cloud platforms: AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure via Kubernetes
- Hands-on Experience with Automated Test Development – REST Assured, Karate, Cucumber
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience in Pipeline as code development or equivalent using Jenkins
- 1+ years of DevOps and SRE experience and Cloud Development
