Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for an SCCM Engineer for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Detroit, MI!

Title: SCCM Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI / must be local

Duration: 12+ Months

Role Type: W2 contract engagement

Job Description:

The SCCM Engineer will design and maintain all aspects of the new Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager environment which includes; Server infrastructure, administrator console, software/hardware inventory, software distribution, patching, imaging, reporting, health monitoring and alerting.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Microsoft SCCM Platform health and mitigate identified problems.
  •  
  • Monitor Microsoft and other critical security software patches and updates.
  •  
  • Responsible for working with multiple teams to remotely deliver upgrades, updates, patches, & deployment of new applications.
  •  
  • Ability to add/remove/change programs available in SCCM Software Center.
  •  
  • Participate and oversee the building and maintenance of desktop images, assisting in the production and employment of Group Policy Objects to manage the environment.
  •  
  • Perform, test, and oversee upgrades to new versions of SCCM as needed and/or required.
  •  
  • Provide knowledge transfer to ensure other department associates are trained on all functions of SCCM.
  •  
  • Serve as Level 3 escalation for SCCM issues.
  •  
  • Subject Matter Expert for Adobe Document Cloud and Creative Cloud Architecture and applications.
  • Develop and maintain login scripts, utility scripts, and other tools using PowerShell, VBS, and other relevant programming languages.
  •  
  • Assists Application Packaging team with strategy of software deployments and assists with the troubleshooting of failed deployments.
  •  
  • Remediate Security Vulnerabilities on endpoints as requested by Security team.
  •  
  • Create strategy, design, and implement changes in group policy and compliance baselines to ensure endpoint computing standards are enforced.
  •  
  • Develop roadmaps, documentation, and takes ownership for various end user computing solutions (hardware, operating systems, SCCM, etc.)
  •  
  • Represents Endpoint Technologies in the Change Advisory Board.
  •  
  • Ensures solutions are appropriately tested and documented prior to deployment.
  •  
  • Designs and executes Windows Servicing and Office Servicing Strategy.
  •  

Qualifications:

  •  
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  •  
  • 5 years of relevant technical work experience required.
  •
