Job Description / Duties:
- Serve as a safety subject matter expert for The Company’s Construction sites
- Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Able to work in multitasking environment
- Able to pass background and security screenings
- Desire to continuously learn and improve
- Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
- Conduct safety Job Site Observations (JSO) to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company expectations.
- Review high-risk task/situation-specific Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and JSA documents as needed
Education/Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED req’d, A.S. in Occupational Health and Safety or similar preferred
- Able to obtain Advance Safety Cert. (ASC) National Safety Council.
- Broad occupational safety, health and experience and familiarization of environmental regulations.
- At least 5 years direct safety and health experience, preferably in solar construction
- BCSP CSP, CIT certification, OSHA 500 Authorized Outreach Trainer, or other relevant credentials a plus
Knowledge/ Skills:
- Flexibility, agility, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA laws and regulations
- Flexibility to identify issues, program improvements, and other needs and get to work addressing them.
- Ability to analyze multifaceted compliance matters and provide effective and timely advice.
- Adept at managing complex policy, process and people-related dynamics.
- Impeccable judgement and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt communication of complex subjects to varying audiences.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and operating effectively when the way forward is not established.
- Strong electrical safety background preferred.
- Able to establish and maintain good relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience in the energy industry is desirable.
- Computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite. (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) Working knowledge of all federal, state, and local safety regulations

Travel Requirements:
- 100% travel to your project site
Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
- Work is performed in an office environment 10% and in the field 90%. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds.
