Application Support Lead
Role Type: W2 contract, No C2C
Schedule: Hybrid
Location: Minneapolis, MN
W2 Contract: 12 months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Production Application Support Lead to oversee and maintain critical production applications. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and usability of business-critical software, with an emphasis on supporting users and improving system reliability. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical support experience, business acumen, and the ability to work across platforms and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2/3 application support for critical production systems
- Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis for application issues.
- Act as a liaison between IT and business users to understand system needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain and support GIS-integrated tools and mapping applications.
- Perform data analysis, write scripts, and develop reports using SQL and Python.
- Document technical procedures, workflows, and system functionality clearly and accurately.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and operations teams to implement fixes and improvements.
- Support mobile applications (iOS and Android) tied to field operations.
- Perform light business analysis tasks, gathering requirements, and defining user stories when necessary.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in application support or a related IT field.
- Strong background in supporting production-level applications (80% tech support / 20% business analysis).
- Proficiency in SQL for data queries and troubleshooting.
- Experience with scripting, especially Python, for automation and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with GIS systems and mapping technologies (Esri/ArcGIS preferred).
- Experience with iOS and Android platforms, including troubleshooting mobile applications.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
