Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Team Leader for one of our largest clients in Detroit, MI!

Job Title: Team Leader
Duration: 12 months
W2 contract engagement, No c2c.
Location: Detroit, MI
Schedule: Hybrid, once per week.

 Engagement Description: Our client is seeking resources responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all administrative, operative and employee functions within assigned area(s) to ensure an efficient and cost-effective area in accordance with departmental and corporate standards and objectives.

Required Skills/Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily as stated below (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required):

  • Experience supervising, coordinating, directing and monitoring staff activities to ensure prompt, courteous and accurate response to customers
  • Experience ensuring an efficient and qualitative operation through effective planning, leading, controlling, and organizing.
  • Strategic thinking skills and experience prioritizing and assigning work to employees and initiating corrective measures to resolve problems, including scheduling or adjusting overtime requirements, as necessary.
  • Experience selecting, training, developing, appraising, and counseling employees.
  • Experience monitoring and analyzing proficiency and quality data and efforts of employees.

 Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite working experience (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Three (3) years Operational experience required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a leadership role required.
