Job Summary:

We are seeking a PACS Implementation Project Manager to lead and coordinate the testing and cutover workstreams as part of a major enterprise imaging transformation. This role will be instrumental in supporting the successful deployment and integration of new PACS/VNA systems across a complex healthcare environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in clinical IT project management, a deep understanding of radiology/PACS workflows, and a background in system migration or go-live readiness within large hospitals or health systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, execution, and tracking of the testing (SIT, UAT) and cutover activities for PACS/VNA implementation.
  • Develop detailed project plans, test cases, cutover checklists, and readiness assessments.
  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams including IT, Radiology, Cardiology, and 3rd-party vendors.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to data migration, image availability, modality integration, and user readiness.
  • Facilitate meetings, capture action items, and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Ensure testing outcomes meet quality and safety standards before go-live.
  • Lead go-live support and post-cutover stabilization efforts.
  • Provide status reporting to executive stakeholders and contribute to overall program governance.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT project management, with a focus on PACS or imaging systems.
  • Proven track record managing cutover planning, system testing, and go-live readiness in clinical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DICOM, HL7, PACS/VNA platforms, and modality workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with change management and clinical operations in Radiology and other imaging departments.
  • Experience working in large, matrixed healthcare systems.

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional)
  • ITIL or other service delivery frameworks
  • Vendor-specific PACS/VNA training or certifications
