Job title: IT Contract Specialist
Schedule notes: Remote position; may need to come on site for meetings
Note: Must be local to Southeast MI or Northwest Ohio.
Duration: 7-month contract (Chance of extending)
Client Location: Detroit, MI
Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hours a week)
Pay Rate Max: 35/HR
Role Requirements:
- Must have 4+ years of contracts experience (reviewing and/or Negotiation)
- Must have a strong foundation of medical terminology
- Nice to have 5+ years of contracts experience
- A bonus for experience with IT Contracts
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems or Supply Chain Management
Role Description:
- Role will be mapping contracts on applications used by Ascension (700-800) and making necessary amendments and negotiations
IT Contracts Specialist supports the development, negotiation, renewal, maintenance, and compliance of IT contracts with established standard terms, conditions, and templates. - Working in close collaboration with the IT Contracts Manager, various business stakeholders, IT leaders, and Legal counsel, this role is responsible for contract execution, assessing contractual performance, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions as well as the support of specific standards, service level agreements, and contract administration.
- The IT Contract Specialist ensures all IT contracting and procurement activity is consistently executed in accordance with the client’s policy.
- As the senior member of a specialist group, the IT Contract Specialist provides guidance and support to the Contract Specialists and Junior Contract Specialists on System policies and departmental procedures.
- Supports the contract development and maintenance process and ensures consistent management of all IT contracts.
- Monitors and tracks upcoming contractual actions and deadlines.
- Supports the analysis and development of strategies for IT contract negotiations.
- Collaborates closely with various departments and IT leaders in the contract development process.
