Job Title: Full Stack Developer – Financial Services (Java, MongoDB, Kafka, Payments)
Locations: (3 onsite/2 offsite): Iselin, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Chandler, AZ
Pay: $65-75/hr – W2 Only, No C2C

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong background in Java, MongoDB, Kafka, and React UI to join our client’s engineering team within the financial services industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has direct experience with payments systems.
You will work on designing and developing scalable and high-performance solutions that support mission-critical payment operations. Prior experience in financial institutions is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance full-stack applications using Java, React, MongoDB, Kafka, and Message Queues (MQ)
- Design and implement high-volume, low-latency solutions for mission-critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver innovative solutions
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java
- MongoDB
- Kafka
- React UI
- Message Queuing technologies (e.g., IBM MQ, RabbitMQ)
- Prior experience working at a financial institution
- Proven experience working on or integrating with payment systems(Ex: wires, ACH, RTP payments)
- Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISO 20022 messaging experience
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
