Job Title: Business Analyst – QFC Regulatory Compliance
Contract: 12 Months Hybrid Schedule
Location: NYC, NY
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled contractor to join our CIB Operations Business Solutions team. This role will be focused on QFC Recordkeeping-related regulatory reporting, where you will be instrumental in standing up a new project and driving compliance with a newly published rule. Your efforts will include gathering requirements, performing detailed analysis, and coordinating the reconciliation of large datasets. Additionally, you will write JIRA user stories and lead user acceptance testing to streamline and automate data reconciliation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stand up and manage the project, develop timelines, and track progress
- Conduct interviews with other Lines of Business (LOBs) to gather and analyze data
- Reconcile and analyze large datasets across multiple business lines
- Collaborate with business teams and technology to define requirements
- Write JIRA user stories and requirements to support project deliverables
- Lead project meetings, providing regular updates to stakeholders
- Develop and write user test scripts, and coordinate user testing
- Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations for project updates
- Produce monthly executive summaries highlighting project progress and milestones
- Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and manage dependencies on other projects
Top Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong regulatory knowledge, particularly in QFC Recordkeeping
- Experience in project management and business analysis, specifically with large-scale, cross-functional projects (roadmap creation, issue tracking, investigations, status updates, deliverables)
- Proficient in changing management methodologies
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including the ability to reconcile and analyze large datasets
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint, including creating and updating presentation decks
- Experience with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Confluence
- Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to conduct interviews, create summaries, write user stories, test scripts, and lead project meetings
Experience Required:
- Experience in management change
- Experience with regulatory reporting, specifically QFC Recordkeeping
- Background in Capital Markets or Corporate & Investment Banking
- Familiarity with Insured Depository Institutions (IDI) is a plus
