  Job Description:

   The IT Delivery Lead is an informal leadership work lead role responsible for providing direction to IT delivery teams supporting the planning, development and implementation of project efforts that utilize information technology solutions. This is a senior level individual contributor role which uses its expertise and influence to coordinate project activities and acts as the lead liaison between project teams in IT, customer business unit and PMO project management organization. This role follows the PMI industry project methodologies as described in the PMBOK and understands the structure, policies, and operations of an organization; working in conjunction with team members, within the architectural direction to recommend pathways and solutions that enable the organization to achieve its technology goals.

  Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Coordination: Guide daily activities of project delivery teams, ensuring adherence to software delivery processes and standards.
  2. Collaboration: Partner with various teams (Architecture, Product Owners, Vendors) to select products, manage releases, and ensure alignment with business strategies.
  3. Governance & Documentation: Manage governance models, financials, and approvals across project lifecycles, including scope changes, budget tracking, and risk management.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage communication, especially in Steering Committee meetings and change management processes.
  5. Vendor & Financial Management: Serve as a liaison with vendors, handle contracts and invoices, and ensure timely project closures and vendor renewals.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure solutions meet quality standards through rigorous testing (unit, functional, UAT) and successful deployment before transitioning to production support.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and innovation within project delivery.

  • Advanced communication skills to interact with senior leaders, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in Maximo projects and project management methodologies (PMBOK).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, especially regarding financials, project controls, and risk management.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage competing demands while staying calm under pressure.
  • Consulting and influencing skills to drive organizational change and continuous improvement.

  This role is highly strategic, requiring a combination of leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills to ensure that IT project delivery aligns with business goals. It’s crucial for the IT Delivery Lead to manage both the technical and operational aspects of project management while fostering a collaborative and solution-focused environment.
