Job Title: Product Owner

Duration: 4 Month contract; chance to extend/convert to full time.

Location: Riverwoods, IL (HYBRID)

W2 pay rate:  $55-$75/hr (medical coverage optional) – Medical benefits optional – our client does not allow c2c or 1099 consultants so you will be a W2 employee of Strategic Staffing Solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Effective visionary and communicator (i.e., define and effectively communicate the product strategy and vision, inspire others)
  • Demonstrates end-to-end accountability and ownership, incl. ability to quickly make decisions (i.e., ownership of OKRs and prioritization of the backlog to achieve them)
  • Highly collaborative with strong listening and influencing capabilities (i.e., need to get input and influence multiple stakeholders, both internal and external; non-hierarchical)
  • Experimental mindset to drive innovation (i.e., not afraid to take calculated risks, go outside comfort zone to learn)
  • Highly energetic, champions continues learning culture, agile mindset, product advocate, strong organizational agility
  • Open Banking/Finance experience strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interact and collaborate with stakeholders on key product considerations and aligns with product vision, features and roadmap
  • Leverage customer insights, feedback, financials, compliance and risk data to define product features and roadmap in partnership with other SMEs
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objects and Key Results (OKRs) for the product team and ensure alignment with senior leadership (e.g., SPO, Dir, etc.)Build product backlog, prioritize its items to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and continuously keep it up to date
  • Hold meetings with the product team to continuously update product backlog
  • Create and/or maintain key product documentation (e.g., customer journey map, technical specs, process mapping, etc.)
  • Identify and define key non-functional requirements (e.g., security, availability, performance, etc.) to achieve necessary product metrics
  • Own definition of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and features/user stories for delivery product roadmap; in-line with the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) of the greater product vision outlined by SPO and/or Business Director is the final decision maker for product scope
  • Define functional and non-functional product requirements; ensure completeness; integral and consistent; source of requirements for product team
  • Creates and validate user story acceptance criteria
  • Define and ensure appropriate testing frameworks for product features (e.g., market testing, functional performance, etc.)
  • Partner with business technology to create technical features that are required to continuously optimize system components and underline infrastructure maintenance
  • Ensure product adheres to the highest quality standards, including releasing security patches not linked to customers
  • Manage dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying, building and managing strategic partnership across different product teams
  • Inspect and evaluate product progress through each iteration
  • Build a culture of accountability and ownership by empowering the product team to make decisions as close to the work as possible (We Develop Others)
  • Ensures product features and processes align with applicable to our partners compliance and risk management standards
  • Work with Data stewards in their respective LOBs to ensure required Data quality controls are identified and implemented Behaviors
