Job Description:
- The Law Function is seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in legal technology, contracting workflows, and transaction management, with specific focus on E-signature.
- We are seeking an ambitious and innovative individual who is mission-driven and process-minded.
- The role will work side-by-side with our Transactions Product Manager to optimize our processes and practices and streamline the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of our legal teams.
- In addition, this new role will partner closely with the Law Digital Platform and represent the Law Function’s digital and process requirements for Transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the current state and future needs of our legal processes and workflows and propose solutions that align with our strategic goals and best practices.
- Collaborate with legal professionals, IT teams, and business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Manage the configuration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Contracting tools, specifically our e-signature platform, DocuSign, and provide training and support to end users.
- Monitor and report on the performance, usage, and compliance of our e-signature platform, and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Conduct research and benchmarking on the latest trends and technologies in legal process automation and e-signature solutions and provide recommendations and best practices.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and ensure timely and quality delivery of solutions.
- Trusted advisor for system support and process optimization
- Define and drive strategic and operational contracting initiatives together with the Contract Operations Manager
- Collect and analyze data to identify root cause of process issues and challenges
- Format and deliver accurate data, using programs/reports to enable leadership to make strategic business decisions.
- Develop and document organizational content, practices, and objectives, including for relatively undefined initiatives.
- Develop creative solutions to solve issues or drive continuous improvement.
- Be the point person for all stakeholders (customer, technical team, and PO) to make sure user stories are well understood, so everyone is on the ‘same page’.
- Groom backlog and perform other maintenance tasks that are standard to the BAs role within an Agile team.
- Assist in development of year long roadmap for responsible technologies
- Educate business where needed on proper support model processes
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the legal domain.
- Strong knowledge of processes and workflows, and experience with process automation and e-signature tools, specifically DocuSign.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process mapping, use cases, user stories, wireframes, etc.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools, such as Scrum, ADO, etc.
- Passionate about driving performance improvements. Process orientated with a capability to take the operations to a continuous improvement journey
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels within the organization and with external vendors
- Ability to build consensus and motivate others.
- Creative mindset for recommending new initiatives.
- Ability to learn new applications and/or platforms as needed.
- Ability to translate and summarize complex data/situations into understandable, actionable information and recommendations.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills.
