Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for an IT Telecom Analyst for a contract opening with one of our largest clients!

This is a Contract Opportunity with our company that MUST be worked on a W2 ONLY, NO visa sponsorship or C2C eligibility for this position. The details are below.

Job Title: IT Telecom Analyst
Contract: 12 Months+ possibility for extension/conversion
Location: Plainfield, IN

Job/Role Description:

  • Coordinate Telecom Solutions to address company’s business needs including the planning, designing, implementing, testing and documentation of the communication systems & network components
  • Work with engineering and support teams to ensure documentation is in place, alarming capabilities are properly enabled, asset system information is updated and change impact is properly documented and approved
  • Work with Engineering Teams on project costs, resource and scheduling efforts
  • Provides technical oversight to a variety of vendors performing telecom work including: installation of structured cabling, fiber splicing, communications tower work and general civil work performed at Telecom locations
  • Provide some on-sight leadership and technical support for the construction teams that install the various Telecommunications equipment
  • Provide enterprise level architecture, design and support of Telecommunications Services needed to support infrastructure and business applications
  • Supported services include, but are not limited to Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET), Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), Optical Transport Network (OTN), Local Area Networks (LAN), Voice Over IP (VOIP), Land Mobile Radio, Microwave Packet Radio and a variety of other hardware and software solutions
  • Positions also integrate applications to enable usage, support, and monitoring of these various hardware technologies
  • Positions develop and maintain routine work procedures and define standard designs, installation, support and upgrade methodologies
  • Responsibilities may include evaluation, acquisition, design, installation, integration testing, upgrading components, operational support and performance monitoring

  • Displays maturity in approach and ability to effectively handle stress and frustration

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • 5-8 years of job related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 15 years related business experience
  • One year experience with Microsoft (MS) Windows Operating Systems and MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with position specific technical Software and Hardware
  • Computer skills, including general usage and support
  • Identifies and coordinates the development of telecom technologies for application in the business
  • Expert working knowledge of the telecommunications systems, associated safety policies, practices, work procedures and regulatory requirements
