Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Healthcare Project Manager for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Detroit, MI!
Title: Healthcare Project Manager
Location: Detroit, MI (Remote however must be local)
Role Type: W2 Contract Engagement
Engagement Description
Accountable for leading project execution for Healthcare Corporate Marketing Customer Experience including the development, readying the business, implementation and ongoing maintenance of moderate to complex projects that may impact multiple business units/functions or business critical programs.
Responsibilities:
- Experience driving a workstream within a program of work; successful project execution on a dedicated project while reporting up through a governance structure that is overseeing the entire program of work
- Lead moderate to complex development initiatives.
- Plan projects, including the concept, design, planning, project scope, cost and benefits, testing, acceptance, implementation and post-implementation review of project deliverables.
- Monitor progress, produce project status reports, timelines, budget reports, project metrics.
- Consult with the business and manage business readiness on the following:
- Process documentation and readiness; Recommend and implement process changes to increase project execution performance, including reducing or eliminating process redundancy.
- Communication related to implementations; Help identify communication gaps and monitor the development of communication needs to ensure successful project implementations.
- Training plan development and execution; help identify training requirements and monitor the development of training needs to ensure successful project implementations
- Monitor project risk and consult on mitigation plans.
- Accountable for managing project budgets, including a defined changed control process that is overseen by a Governance Committee.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required
- Five (5) years project management experience in health plan operations or related field
- Five (5) years of business readiness and/or change management experience
- Leadership and/or analytical experience with data, systems, and operations
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience with project management applications, templates, development tools, and analysis tools required
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience planning and leading high risk and complex projects
- Extensive experience with analysis including root cause identification and problem solving
- Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems (e.g., Access, Excel PowerPoint and Word)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project Management Certificate (PMP) preferred
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge of Design Thinking preferred
