Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a DevOps Engineer for a contract opening with one of our largest clients!

This is a Contract Opportunity with our company that MUST be worked on a W2 ONLY, NO visa sponsorship or C2C eligibility for this position. The details are below.

Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Contract: 12 Months+ possibility of extension/conversion
Locations: Remote

Job/Role Description:

  • Support CI/CD tools integration/operations/change management and maintenance
  • Enhance and/or build standards and guidelines for internal users to use Jenkins pipelines effectively
  • Direct interaction with internal IT community to answer questions on the best use of the product
  • Ownership of custom DevOps tools internally built to drive a reduction in time to market
  • Through a hands-on approach, conduct software engineering code reviews and deliver innovative software tools, technologies, and application frameworks
  • Maintain deep levels of involvement in the implementation process
  • Business oriented and able to communicate to internal engineering customers as well as leadership
  • Ensure adherence to existing DevOps enterprise direction and architectural strategies
  • Function as a hands-on member of the DevOps teams – guiding & mentoring team to design, document, develop, test, deploy and maintain products and solutions
  • Own, support and maintain Enterprise Jenkins instances used across a large organization on Kubernetes-based infrastructure

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years working on an Enterprise / Shared Service DevOps team
  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Development and Best Practices
  • Significant experience with Jenkins automated build pipelines and shared libraries
  • Experience with designing, building and maintaining Kubernetes-based shared services platforms on Cloud-native infrastructure (Openshift, EKS, etc.)
  • Experience with AWS tools and services like EKS, EC2, Lambdas, etc
  • Comfortable following versioning and release strategies with Git
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (such as Ansible or Terraform)
  • Familiarity with build tools (such as Maven, Gradle or Please)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, Groovy a plus
  • Knowledge of deployment tools like ArgoCD a plus
