Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a DB2 Database Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Detroit, MI!
Title: DB2 Database Administrator
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 24 Months
Role Type: W2 contract engagement
Database Administrator with skillset:
- 10+ years of Oracle experience
- Experience with Oracle12c and 11g
- 5+ years of RMAN backup and recovery
- 5+ years of Dataguard
- 5+ years of Datapump
- 5+ years of PL/SQL
- 5+ years of ASM with Grid Control
Additional Requirements
- DB2 experience
- Be able to quickly get on board by bringing in past experience in RDBMS skills and strong analytical ability.
- Work on a 7X24 oncall rotation basis.
- Work with a team of experienced DBAs in a collaborative and supportive manner.
- Need to be highly process centric with eye for continuous improvement.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize quickly is important.
- High technical skillset is an expectation.
- Experience in disk management, performance tuning and troubleshooting will be an asset.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (I.e., MIS, CIS) and at least five years of related IT experience OR at least ten years of related IT experience without the Bachelor’s Degree.
