Job Description:

The Hybrid Cloud team is a fast-paced cross functional team that focuses on providing self-service hybrid cloud solutions and improving the efficiency and consistency of support and delivery processes through automation. The candidate will be responsible for automating standard service offerings, optimizing delivery and support processes, enabling and promoting DevOps capabilities, designing, delivering, and supporting hybrid cloud solutions in AWS and Azure. The position is expected to work independently and with other team members to achieve goals and complete assignments with instruction limited to results expected. Candidates should have a general knowledge of Infrastructure technologies such as OS, storage, virtualization, security, and networking with a strong focus on public cloud offerings, automation concepts, host configuration management, and CI/CD toolsets and a proven ability to learn new technologies. 


  • Work with architects and others to understand technical, security and business requirements
  • Design, publish, and maintain standard hybrid cloud offerings for the organization
  • Manage orchestration, configuration, and provisioning automation for public as-a-service  cloud offerings
  • Develop and promote standard operating procedures
  • Participate in 24×7 on-call rotation
  • Maintain documentation of cloud services and reference architecture
  • Participate on project teams to deliver optimal solutions
  • Suggest and Test new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop software products using full-stack, cloud native development.
  • Has system-wide responsibility to build software products on complex projects
  • Maintain services, monitor system health, and continually look for improvements.
  • Scale systems sustainably using continuous deployment and automation.
  • Research and implement best design principals in order to improve reliability and velocity.
  • Work in an agile environment and engage in practices such as XP, test driven development.
  • Collaborate with other software engineers, developers, designers, and product owners.
  • Builds software using agile/XP/test driven development.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software solutions.
  • Determine hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.
  • Has exposure/understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Works with architects and product owners to design new software. 

Preferred Certification(s)

  • AWS/Azure certifications 

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven ability to be self-directing and proactive in developing and deploying services
  • Strong scripting and automation capabilities
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience in multiple of the follow areas is preferred:
  • Migrating IaaS workload to public cloud providers
  • Virtualization platforms (vSphere / Hyper-V) in on premise and public cloud environments
  • Advanced knowledge of scripting languages(powershell/python/bash)
  • Delivering and supporting Cloud solutions
  • Interpreting requirements to design cloud solutions
  • Utilization of DevOps pipelines
  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud concepts including multi-account management, AWS Organizations, network peering, AWS Transit Gateways, IAM/RBAC, automated template development/deployments, configuration enforcement, policies and monitoring, and designing highly available offerings.
  • Exposure to core infrastructure technologies: Active Directory, DNS, Network file sharing, server OS deployment, configuration management, automation, system hardening, and security patch management
  • Experience in developing, securing, and integrating with REST-based Web services
  • Ability to coordinate and monitor to isolate and diagnose common system problems and document system events to ensure continuous functionality
  • Perform problem resolution and root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques.
  • Willingness to learn and expand knowledge
  • Thrives in an iterative environment where there are many moving parts 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 2 year IT technical degree or 4 year degree or 7 years related work experience.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems and computer networks. Full-stack development experience
  • Work experience in addition to degree: 5 years

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Java, Angular, JS, REST services, Cloud, Swift and Commercially published software.
  • Requires a good understanding of business application
